Kirstie and Benedict got married by the sea in Itchenor, a charming village on the Manhood Peninsula (I kid you not!) near Chichester in West Sussex. The bride and bridesmaids all wore vibrant flower crowns, to keep the hippy wedding theme going, and befitting the summer vibe, the great British weather decided to open the floodgates. It rained steadily throughout the dinner but we managed to grab 10 minutes of clear sky down by the beautiful harbour which proved once again that I don’t believe it can rain ALL day on your wedding day. The ceremony itself was in the local village hall, decorated the day before by the family with hanging ribbons and trees to give the hippy wedding vibe that Kirstie and Be wanted. The Humanist ceremony included lighting candles upon which everyone made wishes for the marriage. This was a new part of the ceremony for me but completely touched everyone in the room.
